Posting
Publish now opens YouTube's posting screen. It shows the channel the Short goes to, and asks three things, with nothing chosen for you: the title, who can watch it (public, unlisted or private), and whether it is made for kids. The last one is required by law for every YouTube video. Realistic content made or changed with AI is labelled as such; for video made by AI here, that is set for you.
A video wider than it is tall, or longer than three minutes, is turned away before anything is sent, because YouTube would file it as an ordinary video rather than a Short. YouTube processes the video before it can be watched, so the post shows as Publishing for a few minutes.
